We haven’t had any report about this issue. Could you please provide the error message you received when you execute the solution?

May be the installation did not work properly, you don’t need to create the empty VBF file, please delete the file.

Follow the steps below to uninstall and reinstall the solution:

      • Control Panel – Add or Remove Programs – Uninstall “Email Classification”.
      • Make sure the Email Classification applet removed by locating applets location. Start – Control Panel – Advansys Formativ – Select Paths tab – Copy location of personal applets, open the folder in Windows Explorer, make sure the applet removed.
      • Install the “Email Classification”, you can download from here: http://www.advansyscorp.com/formativ_download.htm

      Hope this helps.

If the problem persists, please email your Formativ Configuration Information to Support (support@advansyscorp.com). You can access this via the main GroupWise menus: Help | About Formativ. When the ‘About Box’ appears, select the ‘Configuration’ tab. Press the ‘copy to clipboard’ button, then paste the contents of the clipboard into your reply.

Unfortunately we could not reproduce the behaviour in GroupWise client 8.0.2 (Build 92614).

During our testing we imported appointments (holiday dates, shipped with solution), checked the “All day” box in Day definition and imported appointments shows 24 hours, duration for the appointment shows “23 Hours 59 Minutes”.

It could be related to GroupWise version. Could you test the solution against different build of GroupWise client?

          Thanks for the information.

Our concern is that these solutions has not changed, and it was working for you before you upgraded, something is likely to be broken in the GW 2012 client or different with your environment. If this assumption is correct, we may or may not be able to work-around it. This will mean identifying the cause and, if it is a GroupWise issue, notifying Novell.

Once we have more information, will let you know.

Are you logged in as Administrator or Standard user to the machine?

Do you see the solutions when you run the GroupWise client as Administrator (right click the program and choose “Run as administrator” in context menu)?

You may need to re install the solutions. If the problem persists then please send the Formativ configuration information, see the earlier post about how to access configuration.

Formativ 2.5 is a paid upgrade, you will need 2.5 registration code to register. Customers without upgrade protection should contact their Advansys reseller or Advansys (support@advansyscorp.com) for pricing.

If the problem persists, please send the Formativ Configuration to support (support@advansyscorp.com). We believe you are referring nDOM as “MS HTMLDocument interface”.

As you only noticed this behaviour on some machine so it must be environmental. You may need check the Internet Explorer installed property.

You may also need to check how you access the nDOM object, may be the object not available in some case, check the object not null before you access its properties.

                   on error resume next
if not nDOM is Nothing then
                     ' Do stuff...
                   end if

We preserve a very high level of metadata between GroupWise, our portable format and the PST format. GroupWise fields and metadata which do not have direct equivalents in Outlook are stored as Outlook custom fields.

Please see the spreadsheet of Outlook fields which are supported by the Advansys PST Creator:

                      Thanks for your post.

We had few reports from our customers that PST Creator was taking too long to process some specific messages. After troubleshooting, we have found that any message addressed to a large number of recipients (i.e. 2000+ recipients) was slowing down the conversion process. Unfortunately, the Outlook API takes unable to handle it properly.

In order to prevent this behaviour we have implemented a workaround to limit message recipients.

PST Creator has Advanced option to limit message recipients. Default value is checked and maximum recipients set to 50. You can configure it by pressing ‘Advanced’ button in ‘Settings’ page. See the Users Guide (page 12) for more information. When enabled, the complete recipient list will be added as a message attachment.

                      quote:

but I am curious if there is a limitation of the tool itself. For example, 100 recipients?

As said earlier, test shows 2000+ recipients slows down conversion process. You can set the value to your needs. Perhaps set a maximum (i.e. 200, etc) value, if conversion process slows down then reduce the number.

                      Hope this helps.

                          Are you using Formativ?

We believe the issue is not relate to Formativ, however you can disable Formativ and try to reproduce the behaviour.

Close the GroupWise client then use the Formativ Control panel applet to disable Formativ (Start – Control Panel – General tab – uncheck Formativ, Applet Recorder & Command Blocker).

Did you use our Archive To Go to create portable snapshot of a GroupWise mailbox or any other solution?

FYI, Archive To Go do not remove, archive or alter messages in GroupWise, it export messages so you can view messages without need to use GroupWise client.

You can use Groupwise.ThrowToken() to execute new/existing tokens. Please see the Formativ Language Guide for more information. Information below copied from the Language Guide.

                              quote:

Uses the native GroupWise Token Commander to execute the given token. The return value from the token is given in the ResultValue parameter.

                              Syntax

                              boolean groupwise.ThrowToken(TokenSyntax string, ResultValue variant)

                              Parameters
                              TokenSyntax – String
                              ResultValue – Variant

Unfortunaletly, we don’t think any GroupWise Token available to return selected attachment index/information from preview pane.

A workaround solution could be list available attachments from a selected message in a dialog (list box) then let user to select specific attachment to save. You can use GroupWise Object APIs to access attachments information where you will have more control, applet can be integrate to GroupWise toolbar.
