Great, thanks for letting us know.

Thanks for your post.
We have only received few reports about this behaviour and unable to reproduce in-house.
Most likely the issue is environmental and could be relate to loading some specific applet.
Could you please email your Formativ Configuration Information to Support (support@advansyscorp.com). You can access this via the main GroupWise menus: Help | About Formativ. When the ‘About Box’ appears, select the ‘Configuration’ tab. Press the ‘copy to clipboard’ button, then paste the contents of the clipboard into your reply.
You can also use a process of elimination to determine the applet causing this problem. You can move all your Formativ applets to another folder then move one or some applets back to Formativ applets folder to reproduce the behaviour. You will need to restart GroupWise client for each test. You can use the Formativ Control Panel applet (Start – Control Panel – Advansys Formativ – Paths tab) to see the location of applets folder.
Usually applets folder location:
Windows XP: “C:Documents and SettingsUSER-NAMEMy DocumentsAdvansysFormativApplets”.
Windows 7: “C:UsersUSER-NAMEDocumentsAdvansysFormativAppletsRegards,

For the record the issue above resolved by following suggestions.
quote:
The problem is in your first table, where you have align=left. To prevent text from appearing at the side of a table, you need to have the framework tables set to align=center.
<TABLE border=0 cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width=”98%” align=center>

You can use the AddressBook component (ActiveX) in Formativ 2.0 which lets you select address entry from the Address Book and access key information related to the selected items.
See ActiveX – Address Book Control documentaion for more information:
http://developer.novell.com/documentation/gwactive/index.html?page=/documentation/gwactive/gwax_enu/data/bktitle.htmlSee the following forum example post about steps to use Address Book control in Formativ:
http://www.advansyscorp.com/forums/topic/4881051361/Once you access address book entry details then you can use Microsoft Word in Formativ. There are lots of scripting example in web about how to use Microsoft Word, you can also search in our forum about it.
Here is an example:

Formativ is wrapper around GroupWise Object and Tokens API, to make it easier to access the underlying API.
Groupwise.BusySearchDlg is part of GroupWise Tokens API. Looks like could be bug in the token when Resource added as a recipient. We suggest you to report this issue to Novel forum:
http://forums.novell.com/novell/product-neutral/developers/
Please make sure you are running the latest point release of the GroupWise client, you can find latest point release from here: http://download.novell.com/patch/finder/

This is known behaviour of the Object API, you can find more discussion of this issue in this post:

Sorry for the delay.

Groupwise.ItemGetText function always truncates the list at roughly 104-109 names
Looks a bug in Token API ItemGetText function. You may need to post a bug report in Novell: http://forums.novell.com/novell/product-neutral/developers/
Another workaround could be use the Object API. In order to access the Object API you will need to save the message, so steps are:
– Save the message to Work-In-Progress folder. You can call the Groupwise.ItemSaveMessageDraft() to save the message so user don’t get prompt to choose folder.
– Access the saved message and Recipients collection.
– Iterate each Recipient object. Object API Recipient object will provide you more information, for example: EmailAddress, EmailType, etc.
– You can access Recipient.Address object which will provide you ObjType (egwUser, egwResource, etc). The forum post below has example source code to save message in Work folder:
http://www.advansyscorp.com/forums/topic/269109397/
Hope this helps.

Only issue id for the Emoticons, I get the error “can’t” locate emoticon directory” I can live without it, if need be.
As you are using the Windows 7, please make sure the following emoticons folder exists:

If the problem persists, you can uninstall and reinstall the solution.
