Unfortunately the short answer is there is no way of doing nested folders with the current version of Message Saver. While the following suggestion will not help to replicate the project folder structure, you can use a Find (QuickFinder) to dislay all items within the project folders, select all items in the Find Results listing, and then save them to a single disk folder.
We have recently released Advansys Archive To Go – Mailbox Exporter for GroupWise. This solution exports a full GroupWise mailbox to disk (FML format) and preserves the complete GroupWise folder structure as a portable archive. A future release will include the capability to select only the folders you wish to export, thus providing the capability to create a portable archive of a complete or partial mailbox.
Thank you for your feedback and we will include your requirements when reviewing our future product plans.

Do you mean Novell client (not a groupwise client)?
Not the Novell (NetWare) Client but rather the Novell GroupWise Windows Client CD. It is the GroupWise Windows Client installer which should correctly install and configure the Admin API.

Hi,
It sounds like you have an open source example applet solution installed which is integrated with the GroupWise On Delete event. The reason why it could occur with Formativ Studio only is because Studio (and Creator) can run open source applets but Runtime can run only Flexalocked applets.
You can prevent the problem by either disabling or removing the applet concerned (it sounds like it could be one of our BrainShare example applets).
Hope this helps.

Hi,
No, unfortunately it won’t change with the full version because the trial version is exactly the same software except that it is time limited until registered. The installer does require access to the Windows folder.
Can you work around this?

How do you get solutions into a library from a file? Save it in your personal applets directory, then go in to the IDE and copy it over?
Yes, that is a valid and probably the simplest approach. To see the applet copied applet in the IDE you need to restart the GroupWise client.
Alternatively, assigning the FormativAdministrator role is not really a problem because it is only a pre-requisite for being able to manage a Formativ Applet Library.
For a user to have Library Administrator access, which is required for publishing applets to an Applet Library, they must also be registered as a Library Administrator for each library they will manage.
So your first idea of using a DevelopersLibrary is quite valid. Assign your developers to the FormativAdministrator role and as Library Administrators for just the DevelopersLibrary. Then the user responsible for publishing should have the FormativAdministrator role and Library Administrator status for both the DevelopersLibrary and the Libraries which will contain the ‘live’ solutions. This approach is also why we provide the option in Formativ Studio to disable the integrations of particular libraries, which means you don’t need to have all solutions active within your GroupWise client but you can still edit/publish them.

I can’t test this as our evaluation *just* expired.
Do you have another workstation on which you can install the software? That will give you another 30-days.
I hope this helps.

Thanks for the additional information.

When using the insert remote image button, it seems to recognize the image on the server,…
What gives the indication that the Remote Image Inserter recognizes the image on the server?

but the image doesn’t appear in the template or in the email itself.
Does that mean that while the Remote Image Inserter appears to access the image on the server nothing appears in your GroupWise HTML message after pressing OK on the Remote Image Inserter dialog?
Or are you inserting a remote image using the Stationery HTML editor?
After inserting the image, you can check the HTML source code of the GroupWise message or the Stationery by right-mouse clicking into the message body and select View Source. If the image is inserted correctly, it will be referenced as a CSS background image inside the relevant HTML tags.
Which version of the GroupWise Windows client are you using?
Which versions of the applet solutions are you using, i.e. Stationery, Remote Image Inserter?
The solutions are designed specifically to work together. For example, in our own GroupWise correspondence we use the Remote Image Inserter regularly in-house with our Personalized Emailer, Stationery and standard GroupWise HTML messages.

Hi Charles,
Thanks very much for the feedback and the question about archiving certain folders only. The answer is not in the first release but definitely in a free maintenance release, SP1. We have many exciting plans to build on the feature set of Archive To Go but the initial focus is to ensure we have an easy, highly reliable way to export, view and search the full contents of a GroupWise mailbox.
In SP1, which we intend to release as quickly as practical, we will deliver a range of filtering capabilities, such as folder selection and date range options. If you would like to be involved in early testing of these features, please let us know by sending an email to support@advansyscorp.com.
While we already have features in mind for a more ‘legal’ focused variation of the A2G application, we are very interested to learn of specific features you need. Again, feel free to send your wish list and ideas to support@advansyscorp.com and we can communicate details which cannot yet be posted here.
Thank you again for your interest in Advansys Archive To Go.

Sorry to hear about the circumstance. Some background information can be found at the post http://www.advansyscorp.com/forums/topic/619103215/.
While the feature was introduced with good intention to help protect end-users from rogue scripts, due to the potential inconvenience of the default setting (which can be disabled with an installation config file setting), we have changed the feature’s default operation in the forthcoming GW7 compatible version of Formativ 2.0.
Unfortunately, post installation, the only easy way to reset the VBS settings on a central basis is to run a console utility which was written for this purpose. When run on the target workstation, it will restore the association and turn off the Formativ ‘disable associations’ Registry setting. The link to this utility will be sent to you via direct email.

RPP,
Thank you for your post. Our tests show that accessing a message via the CommonmessageID property results in a read-only instance of the message. This appears to be consistent whether you access the message via Multi-login, proxy or directly (i.e. by logging into the account directly). This is very likely the reason why you cannot add a custom defined field to the message.
We appreciate that it is frustrating to have project development stall due to an apparent technical roadblock beyond your control. With this in mind we always do our best to be responsive to Formativ specific questions. However, as you may be aware, your last question relates directly to the Novell Object API. While you can access the Object API using Formativ, as you can from any other compatible development environment, it is not part of Formativ. If you require time critical answers to Novell GroupWise Object API programming questions, you may wish to investigate the support options offered by Novell. See http://developer.novell.com/wiki/index.php/Developer_Support for details.

Hi Simon,
Upon review, the problem is very likely due to using the GW Client 6.5.0. As a ‘.0’ release, it had some serious issues we had to try and work around. Upon review of the code, the work-around had to use some clipboard functions and probably explains the problem you are seeing.
As 6.5.5 has just been released, I recommend that you use the latest client software. It will very likely solve your problem and a number of other client issues too.

That certainly should not happen. What version of the GroupWise client are you running?
So we don’t assume anything, can you describe the exact steps you are taking to create the message when this problem occurs?
It may be also a good idea to send us the Formativ configuration information by selecting the GroupWise client’s Help menu, select About Formativ, select the Configuration tab and use the Copy to Clipboard button, then paste the config info into an email to support@advansyscorp.com.

Did you try running with the Trusted App debug DLL? If so, what error messages did you receive?

Just to ensure we fully understand your needs, can you expand on what you mean by ‘pull mail from the restore area?’?
Thanks,

Just a quick note to let you know that Beta 2 now sports the first implementation of the search capabilities. http://www.archive2go.com
We hope you like it and look forward to your feedback.
