Thank you for the report.

Correct. The problem with McAfee 8.0i relates to .NET applications used under the Windows XP Style.

Further research indicates the viewer was running on a network share. The CLR threw a permission exception. The work around for the current beta is to run the viewer from local media.

6.0 will not be supported (at least not in Enterprise mode, which requires the Trusted Application facility introduced in GroupWise 6.5.x).
Thanks for the information regarding 6.5.3.
‘{99C5B7D2-8CF7-40C1-A8E0-0EE54FF92AB9}’ is a component of the GroupWise client. Which version of the GroupWise client was installed on the machine where the application failed? We only support 6.5.x (with the actual point release version still be determined).

I notice your config information indicates ‘ Applet recording is not allowed’. You should be able to enable applet recording via the Formativ Windows Control Panel applet – the second check box on the ‘general’ tab.
I hope this helps.

Unfortunately you can’t add it to the Formativ toolbar – it doesn’t have the ability to accept new components.
The only way you could use completely new components would be to implement your dialog as a COM Automation Server using something like Visual Basic, Delphi, C++, etc, then instantiating an instance of your object from Formativ using CreateObject(). Of course, this means you have to distribute and register both the ActiveX controls you want to use, plus the Automation server you write that hosts the ActiveX controls.
I hope this helps.

September 29, 2005 at 4:29 pm in reply to: Cannot install Fomativ Runtime (demo at this stage) #5928I cannot reproduce this when downloading from the web. You may still have a corrupt version in a cache somewhere. Try refreshing your browser (or clear your browsers’ page cache) and try again.
Let me know if it still fails and I’ll email you the setup application.

Unfortunately no. We can only include items exposed as ActiveX controls to third parties. This particular control is not. You would have to building something similar using the available controls.

September 28, 2005 at 4:13 pm in reply to: Cannot install Fomativ Runtime (demo at this stage) #5926I would suggest you try downloading the setup program and trying again. I suspect you may have a corrupt download.
Please let us know if this does not solve the problem.

September 28, 2005 at 4:11 pm in reply to: Selecting individual contacts for label mail merge. #8763The newest version of the solution lets you select individual users. Press the ‘Advanced’ link under the address book drop down list. This will display a list of contacts from the selected book. You can then check the contacts you wish to include.
Details of custom development contacts can be found at: http://www.advansyscorp.com/formativ_partners_developers.htm

Thanks for the update.
The Runtime Guide is more or less a sub-set of the Studio Guide. Which information is missing you would like to see in the Studio Guide?
Regards,
Advansys Support
You could do this by creating the following registry key/value pair:
HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareAdvansys Corporationformativ1.0Settings
Value Name: ‘Protocol Order’
Value: 2You can also force this using the config.ini installation file. Ssearch for config.ini in the Runtime Users Guide.
I hope this helps.
