Unfortunately this does not seem to be possible. We have not found a way to get VBScript to assign an event handler dynamically.
A couple of suggestions:
- Try experimenting with the VBScript function GetRef (designed to support DHTML events), like this:
.onClick = GetRef("testSub")
- Develop a COM-enabled component to replace the Form, using a language that supports dynamically assigned event handlers (eg. Delphi, C#, VB.NET). You can create an instance of such a component from a Formativ applet, and pass data between the applet and component. You may find the featured topic .net modules useful.
I hope this helps.

You can use ConsoleOne to check if:
- A Trusted Application for Archive To Go has been registered in eDirectory.
- The account is locked/disabled.

“/ph-\lde-email-a.londoneast.lombardrisk.comgroupwisLDE-2008domainpo”
I hope this helps.

What does the user see? Do any errors appear?
The log you posted is the audit log. Please send the process log (zipped) to support@advansyscorp.com; you should find this file (named ‘23995.log’, after the account name) in the archive folder.
Note: the audit log shows that you are using GroupWise 7.0.2 HP. We always recommend using the latest patch for a specific version of GroupWise. For GroupWise 7.0 the latest patch is 7.0.4. While I do not know the specific cause of the problem, it’s possible that upgrading will fix it.
You may find the Novell Patch Finder helpful.

Unfortunately, from our experience with Formativ the problem is likely to be environmental, ie. something in your Windows environment may be causing this error.
What happens after an access violation? For example, are you able to continue working or does GroupWise or any other application crash?
Have you observed access violations in any other process?
Please send sample entries from the Windows Event Log that represent the access violations. The application name associated with these entries will be GroupWise.
Please send the Formativ configuration from a machine where the error has occurred to support@advansyscorp.com. You can obtain the configuration by selecting Help | About Formativ… from the GroupWise main menu. When the About Formativ dialog appears, go to the Configuration tab and click the button Copy to clipboard. Then paste the text into your reply email (or save it to a plain-text file and include it as an attachment).
If you disable Formativ do you continue to observe access violations? To disable Formativ, go to the Windows Control Panel, start Advansys Formativ and on the General tab click Disable All then OK.

Advansys SupportThanks for reporting this problem.
I suggest you try entering the registration code manually, ie. do not ‘copy and paste’ the code.
If the above does not help, please send the Formativ configuration to support@advansyscorp.com. You can obtain the configuration by selecting Help | About Formativ… from the GroupWise main menu. When the About Formativ dialog appears, go to the Configuration tab and click the button Copy to clipboard. Then paste the text into your reply email (or save it to a plain-text file and include it as an attachment).
I look forward to your reply.
Kind regards,
Advansys SupportThanks for your enquiry, and my apologies for the delay; we had a public holiday here yesterday.
Unfortunately, at present it is not possible to feed in a list of GroupWise archive paths as you describe. I will ensure this feature is added to the wish list for the product.
You may find the manual labour reduced if the GroupWise archives, or some of them, are the default archives associated with the mailboxes in your batch. If so, check the box at Include default native archive instead of adding the archive path explicitly. This will not cause a problem if a specific mailbox has no associated default archive; Creator will add a relevant log entry.
I hope this helps you.

Advansys SupportThat’s great to hear, thanks for letting me know.
Kind regards,
Advansys SupportThanks for your detailed description of this new problem. It’s possible that this is the same problem discussed in Failed – Consult the documentation for more information. If you don’t find the resolution there, please send the summary and detail logs (zipped) to support@advansyscorp.com.
Kind regards,
Advansys SupportThanks for reporting this problem, which is a known issue.
When changes are made to the GroupWise eDirectory system you will need to refresh the view of the system that Archive To Go Creator shows. This is because Creator stores a copy of the system information in a local cache, to avoid a lengthy delay every time you view the system.
To refresh Creator’s System view, select a System, Domain or Post Office and press F5. You can also use the mouse to right-click, then select Refresh from the pop-up menu. Depending on your network topology, throughput and other physical factors, you may find it much faster to refresh selected Post Office objects instead of an entire Domain (or System).
The Refresh function should be more visible on the Creator dialog; we have recorded this issue in the enhancements list for the product.
Note: The pop-up menu includes an option to show the discovery log. You may find it useful to review the log before/after refreshing, to find out which, if any, system objects were inaccessible. This can happen for various reasons, eg. if there are multiple eDirectory Trees in your GroupWise system and you have not logged in to the Tree that hosts a particular Post Office.
I hope this helps.

I believe you will need to reintroduce the MTAs. Please note that your system has to meet the requirements for running GroupWise Trusted Applications.

It sounds like both of the following might be true:
- The archiving process was canceled (or otherwise stopped prematurely). You can confirm this by checking the summary at the end of the archive log (in the archive folder).
- You are using Indexer 1.x, which fails with the error “Value cannot be null” if the archiving process was canceled.
If not, please send the archiving and indexing logs (zipped) to support@advansyscorp.com.
Otherwise, to resolve this problem you have two options:
- Recreate the archive, ensuring the process runs to completion.
- Install Archive To Go 2.0, in which the updated Indexer supports an incomplete archive. You need not copy Indexer (a2goengine.exe) to the archive’s _viewer folder (though it would be a good idea in this case); you can run it directly from the Start menu then select the archive folder.
I would say the DAT folder is empty because every time Indexer ran previously it would have failed in the same way, therefore not creating any index files.
I hope this helps. Please let me know how you go.

Advansys SupportThanks for your enquiry.
Unfortunately, as far we know, it is not possible for one C3PO to call another C3PO’s custom action menu commands. Formativ is a GroupWise custom third-party object (C3PO), ie. it integrates with GroupWise.
If your GroupWise integration (or other software) exposes a COM API, you may wish to experiment with a Formativ applet that drives the COM API.
