Hello
thank you for the answer.

This is a Formativ Path. This is the reason why i try to change the path because it is not very comfortable when the user has to configure MSP2 everytime he logs in.

>Could you describe the reasons why you wish to use roaming profiles? While we have not used Citrix in-house, our understanding is that the Citrix terminal/server relationship eliminates any need for roaming profiles.
<This is not true. We have 11 Citrix servers with Load Balancing. The user logs in and Citrix trys to find the server with the lowest load at this time. The user is connected to the select server, his profile will be copied from a central location to this servers local system drive to ‘Documents and Settings’. When the user logs out the profile is copied back to the central location. When the user logs in again, the process is starting again, Citrix is calculating the load and connects the user to server whit the lowest load which can be the same server, but usually not.
With this process, the user gets allways his personally workspace with his color, icons, desktop, printers and so on. This is the reason why we use roaming profiles. If you need more information, please ask again.
Thank you

that is not really true. I have installed a running version of MessageSaverPack 2.01 on a local Windows XP and local on a Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition. So you can forget this statement. I’ll try to setup the solution with the Citrix GuideLines. I think this will answer all of my questions. When not, i will ask again.

But my problem with the setup of Formative Runtime with my Setupconfig File is still present. Some information for you, where the problem is:
- FormativRuntime creates by default the folder “Documents and Settings<USERID>LocalSettingsApplication DataAdvansysFormativ1.0Config”
- MessageSaverPack 2.01 uses this folder for the his Config files ‘Message Saver_Flexalock Locations.ini’ and ‘Message Saver_Flexalock.ini’. This two files contain the saving locations an other setting for MessageSaverPack.
- We use roaming profiles. But the folder “Documents and Settings<USERID>LocalSettings” in a roaming profile will be ignored when “Documents and Settings<USERID>” will be written back to the server when the user logs out and the config for MessageSaverPack will be lost.
- As a solution i want to redirect the ‘Local Config’ path in formativ runtime to a different location. This can be done by a setup config file as i read in the documentation. I have created a install file (see above) and installed the runtime. But after the setup only the path ‘Applet’ and the path ‘Data’ has been changed. All other paths in the configfile are ignored.
- Question1: Why will the config for MessageSaverPack be saved in “…Local Settings…” and not in permanent directory of the profile?
- Question2: What is wrong with my setupconfigfile?
I hope you understand what i’m writing (SwEnglisch=SwissEnglish).
Thank you for any further help.

AndréJune 29, 2006 at 4:33 am in reply to: Install with config file and silent ingnores setting from config file #6091Hello, Thank you for your answer, here are more details.
First, i have written this post before is saw the post about formativ in a Citrix environment. So, if the document mentoined in the other thread will solve the problem please let me know and forget the following text.
- I have installed the formativ runtime with the default path settings. This is no problem, formativ runs and ‘normal’ applets (i.e. no solution packs with install and license) will run without problems.
- Then i want to install the MessageSaver Pack 2.01 (i have this from inetra.de as a pre-release test because i have bought 50 licenses for MSP2).
- I got never a running MSP 2.01. Sometimes the License is expired, sometime the ‘incomplete installation error’ is appearing
- After some time i created a user who has Admin Rights in the Citrix Session on a testserver. I ran the MSP2.01 installtion. Then the product was running great. But when i logged off and on again, the problems mentoined above are back.
- I’ve the problem in the ‘local settings’. This folder (in my technical understanding) would never be replicated in a roaming profile. So the settings for formativ or any formativ solution in this folder are lost after logout.
Maybe i’m thinking in the wrong direction. Please correct me, if something in the above text is wrong.
Thats all. If you need more information, please let me know.
Thank you

AndreJanuary 11, 2006 at 11:57 pm in reply to: Enterprise Caledar Dates: Cannot create Trusted Application #8833Thanks MA and Support.
Answers to MA’s qestions:- It makes no difference which user is selected as master. But in our environment all GW-Accounts are External Entitys. I have created 2 Users as Master: ECDMaster1 -> External Entity, ECDMaster2 -> Full eDirectory/GWUser object. The error is still the same.
- Also the PO TCP/IP settings or the direct path makes no difference to this problem.
I have sent the trace-log with some printscreens to the support. Thanks again for help.

AndreJanuary 10, 2006 at 11:13 pm in reply to: Enterprise Caledar Dates: Cannot create Trusted Application #8832Thank you for your reply. I have done the following steps.
- all configs removed
- trusted app new created. I hadn’t provided an ip/port setting for the trusted app before and now. The trusted app has been created.
- checked in ConsoleOne for the trusted app.It has been created. But i’m not shure how to ckeck the replication status. In our GW-System it should not take a long time, because we have all resources (DO/PO/Gateways) in one local location.
- PO configured with IP/Port
- MasterMailbox selected (ECDMAster1)
- Tried to Synchronize. The ErrorMessage is: ‘The mastermailbox could not be accessed. This is normaly due to the Trusted Application not yet being synchronized throughout the GroupWise system, or incorrectly configured Post Office access settings. Please…..’
Thats all at the moment. Please let me know if you need more detailed information about our config.
Thank you.
Andre LohrerJanuary 10, 2006 at 7:39 am in reply to: Enterprise Caledar Dates: Cannot create Trusted Application #8830Me again, this problem is solved. Re-Installing the GW-Client and upgrade from 6.54.to 6.55 has helped.
But now i cannot connect to the master-mailbox. I have verified all settings more than once and have read the help from here to there. I cannot figure out what is wrong.
Please help.
