It appears that there might be a limit of the number of folders the user has. This user was overly organized and had over a 1000 folders and subfolders.
I was also using an older 7.03 groupwise client so I upgraded it to 8.02 hp1 client (same version as this users Post Office) and it now works.Thank you
December 23, 2010 at 11:37 am in reply to: Archive To Go Finder has encountered a problem and needs to close. #9764I figured out that it needed the .NET 2.0 configuration tool which I downloaded and installed from the .NET 2.0 SDK. I used that to expanded MyComputer->Runtime Security Policy->Machine->All_Code, right clicked on LocalIntranet_Zone and then selected properties. On the Permission Set tab I chaged it to FullTrust. That worked.
I did try your solution without needing to install the .NET 2.0 SDK and that worked as well. A lot easier too! Please update the documentaion for the 2.0.0.x version.as this would have been helpful..
Thanks again
December 22, 2010 at 7:51 am in reply to: Archive To Go Finder has encountered a problem and needs to close. #9767I have uninstalled the .net 2.0 redistributable as well as the archive to go 2.0.0.5 off of my windows xp sp2 pc and rebooted. I redownloaded the 2.0.0.5 software from your site and then reinstalled the .net 2.0 redistributable and the archive to go 2.0.0.5 software. I then followed the instructions in the archive2go-creator.pdf “Archive to go will not run from a network drive”. When I get to the point where I select Import and select the a2gofinder.exe it says “The import failed. The assebly does not appear to be valid.” I cannot continue past this point and still cannot access the search feature of archives created with this version off of a windows 2008sp2 enterprise servers network drive. Makes it unusable at this point so any ideas?
The version 1.5 will work with the instructions from running it off a network drive with no error.April 1, 2010 at 5:50 am in reply to: Search Index not working after archive is copied to another drive #9699That was it! I created the _index folder under the last media-xx folder and then copied in both the dat and inf sub-folders found using your steps above and it works now.
Thanks again.March 31, 2010 at 11:46 am in reply to: Search Index not working after archive is copied to another drive #9697I see that in other archives that the _index folder is found under the last media-xx folder of the group. The archive I currently have on the network drive is missing this _index folder but I am still able to search the archive. How is this possible?
March 30, 2010 at 5:48 am in reply to: Search Index not working after archive is copied to another drive #9695I do not see an _index sub folder. The only folders I see under the archive are the media folders ie media-XX (where the X is a number of the media disks). Under the media-xx folders there are 3 folders _metadata, _viewer, data and a DiskX.info.xlm file. Under the data folder there are numbered folders that conatin the emails with fml extensions. That is all I have.
I tried it using the Outlook Mobile Service (Text Messaging) which worked. I also used your suggestion and entered incorrect information for a POP3 account and that also worked. So my first post was correct in saying that I could just put in any information just to creat a profile to select. I just wanted to make sure that was not going to cause any issues.
Thank you for your assistance. You mention to select the Outlook Profile but I do not have that profile as an option. Only one thast show are are the ones I stated previously Novell Default Settings and Novell GroupWise.
So when I add a new profile I select Manually configure server settings or addional server types. Then I am prompted to choose an E-mail service: Internet E-mail, Microsoft Exchange or Other. Internet E-mail and Microsoft Exchange require me to enter information that I do not have. If I select Other I have Novell GroupWise and Outlook Mobile Service (Text Messaging)as options. Should I select the Outlook Mobile Service since that is the only thing I have that is close to an Outlook Profile to choose from?I was wondering if you had any new information regardng the above mentioned error and not being able to search from the created archive2go database.
It is on its way..
