I have not yet received a debug build of Formativ Admin via email, or indeed any communication from Advansys. I’m eager to begin using Formativ, and would like to hear from you soon.

I selected ‘Use local applets only’ from the protocols tab in the Formativ control panel applet (is that the same as ‘No Protocols’?), and restarted GroupWise. There are no Formativ menus.

I have uninstalled Formativ Admin from the Add/Remove Programs control panel and uninstalled GroupWise using the Cleaning Agent. I’ve manually removed all file and registry entries relating to both Formativ and GroupWise, then reinstalled both packages.

No integration.

I setup another user on another workstation with Runtime and the integration works fine. I logged into another workstation with Formativ Admin installed and the integration worked.

Then, I formatted my hard disk, reinstalled Windows 98 from CD, installed NetWare Client 3.32.0.0 SP1, Sophos AntiVirus 3.69, GroupWise Client 5.5.5 (18/12/2001), then Formativ Admin. Still no integration. All the these programs are installed on the machine where Admin worked when I was logged in.

The only differences between the two workstations is hardware. The workstation where Admin loaded is a Dell Dimention, the workstation where Admin doesn’t load is a custom built machine, although I can’t imagine this is a hardware issue.

Is there anything at all that can cause Formativ not to load which I may have installed as part of Windows setup, or the NetWare Client? If not, I am at a loss!

There is no ‘About Formativ’ menu on the Help menu.

There are no Formativ menus in GroupWise at all.
