      Hi,

We have archived a users mailbox and notice in the log file the following error over and over

COM target does not implement IDispatch.
      2008-09-17 11:30:28.056+02:00 [W] Cannot access message properties: 479224F0.mydomain.mypostoffice.100.135766F.1.20245.1.
      2008-09-17 11:30:29.999+02:00 [E] Unable to throw token ItemSaveInfo(“479224F2.mydomain.mypostoffice.100.135766F.1.20246.1″;”C:DOCUME~1usernameLOCALS~1Temptmp1E.tmp”;106):

Is this anything to be concerned about? What do I explain to the user/help desk?

      Thanks,
      Sue Clement

        Thanks for reporting this problem.

Please copy the log header section into an email and send it to support@advansyscorp.com. The header section contains details of your Windows environment and the Archive To Go settings (up to the separator line).

        Do these errors occur when:

        • Using a different machine to archive the same mailbox?
        • Processing the user’s main mailbox, or a native/personal GroupWise archive, or both?
        • Processing a shared incoming folder?

        Regards,
        Advansys Support

The error relates to GroupWise failing to save the message properties envelope (or message Properties) to a file. The following is a list of known conditions that lead to this of error:

          • The installed version of GroupWise is 7.0.2 HP or below.
          • Archive To Go is processing a GroupWise native/personal archive, and GroupWise is running but not switched/proxied to that archive.
          • Archive To Go is processing a shared incoming folder within the native/personal archive.

To avoid this problem when using GroupWise 7.0.2 HP or below, you would need to run GroupWise and switch to the required native/personal archive, then set Archive To Go to include only that archive (not the main account). In other words, if message properties are required, GroupWise must be switched/proxied to the mailbox/archive of interest, and no other mailbox/archive can be included during that Archive To Go session.

          Regards,
          Advansys Support
