      Greetings:

Starting exporting mailboxes. However, on one user’s PC when opening Archive via CD or hard drive, I’m getting a “Range Check Error” dialog which spawns tens of the same error dialog.

The only way out is to terminate the Viewer is via Task Mgr.

Operating system is Win2K sp4. Only occurs on one workstation, so far. Any Ideas???

      Thanks

Thanks for your posting. Just to clarify, do you mean you can take a CD containing an archive that works fine on one machine, then view it the suspect machine and it fails?

Would you mind zipping the content of the _metadata folder and sending it to support@advansyscorp.com? The metadata doesn’t contain any email information itself, only subjects, dates and sender/recipient information. We would destroy the metadata once the source of the problem has been ascertained.

        Regards,

Yes, if even fails if I copy the CD to the hard drive and launch the Viewer from the C: drive.

I’ll send you the metadata folder.

          Thanks
          Jeff

Thank you for the additional information Jeff.

I look forward to seeing the metadata folder.

We believe this error is caused by a defect in the viewer that occurs when the sent items folder of an archive is selected when the items in the folder are unavailable.

We are about to update the released installer with a slipstream build that resolves this issue.

As you have existing archives, you could also download the latest viewer from:

              http://www.advansyscorp.com/beta/a2goview.zip

Extract the viewer into all copies of the _viewer subdirectories in your archive. If they have already been burnt to CD you will have to copy them to disk, replace the existing viewer, then burn a new set of CD’s.

Please let me know if this version of the viewer solves the problem.
