CSV to NAB import using a lot of memory

I’ve got a roughly 5000contacts in a CSV file that I’m trying to import into a Novell GroupWise 6.5 SP2 address book using Formativ.

It starts out great, but seems to eat memory as it goes and is taking a very long time to finish. Currently, it has been running for 8 hours and has imported 2,250 persons and 1,100 organizations.

The PC is steadily consuming memory and is currently at 1.09 Gigs of Memory used. This is a Pentium 4 HT machine with 512 MB of RAM.

Is there anyway to speed up the process? Are there known limitations for the number of contacts this can be used for?
