      I have a user who worked originally when we moved his data into Archive2go.

      A little under a months time has passed and he gets Access denied error message when he tried to use quickviewer or open an email manually.

      Any help you could provide would be lovely.

        Thanks for your post.

        We have few reports about this issue and most case it was due to insufficient permissions for this user.

        • We have discovered that the error may occurred when Viewer attempts to create a COM object, ‘Microsoft.XMLDOM’ (part of the installation of Internet Explorer 5.5 or above).

          The relevant key in the Windows Registry is:
          HKEY_CLASSES_ROOTCLSID{2933BF90-7B36-11d2-B20E-00C04F983E60}

          It has a subkey ‘VersionList’ that includes a reference to the following file:
          C:WINDOWSSYSTEM32msxml3.dll

          Perhaps the normal user does not have sufficient permissions to access the Registry key? Is Internet Explorer installed?

        • Can you start the Viewer as “Run as Administrator” (right-click on file viewer.exe, then select “Run as Administrator”)?

        Hope this helps. If the problem persists, please provide more details:

        – Which Operating System you are using (i.e. XP, Vista, Windows 7)?
        – What is the path to the archive location (i.e. local disk, network, CD/DVD, other)?
        – Can you reproduce the behaviour on another machine?

        Regards,
