Hallo,

i try to make a applet, which reads all available adressbooks into a CheckListbox for selection .
I would like to do this with forms.

Is there any HELP-file for working with forms avaliable?

Thank you for your enquiry.

For reference documentation on the components on the Component Palette of the Visual Forms Designer, please take a look at this Support Forum post.

The Formativ Studio/Creator Developers Guide contains an introduction and usage guidelines on the Visual Forms Designer in the section Creating User Interfaces.

However, I think we all find it helps to learn from examples. Please feel free to ask if you have a question on how to do something specific with Visual Forms.

Here is an example of a Form that displays a check list box populated with Address Book entries. Right mouse click the link and choose ‘save link as’ (saving to your local applets folder).

Thank you for this applet.
I have still some troubles.
If i run this applet again the applet crashes.
A error window is displayed “Sorry, the applet could not be executed – Access violation at address 7C92888F in module ‘ntdll.dll’. Read of address 0279C9F8.

After this error occurs i have to close and restart GroupWise completly.

How can this crash be avoided?

PS. if i create a Form of my own the applet does not work.
I tried to run this applet with a form created by myself with a single button and a checklistbox.

If i run the applet a runtime error occurs.

H:datenAdvansysFormativLocal!GW Checklistbox.vbf

where is the difference ?

Hello Manifred,

If this applet crashes, and you can’t create any of your own forms, I suspect something is wrong with your installation. I would suggest you re-install the GroupWise client, then Formativ. If you still can’t get the example applet to work, could you please send your configuration info to support@advansyscorp.com. From the main GroupWise menu, select Help | About Formativ. When the about box appears, select the configuration tab. Press the ‘copy to clipboard’ button, then paste the contents of the clipboard into the body of the email message.
