Some GW Smartfields in Stationary not working in french groupwise client?

Hello,

I can’t make working some GW smartfields in stationary running on Groupwise 7.0 french client…

It seems that it is because “accents”:

fields like AB:Nº de téléphone bureau or AB:Prénom] are not working: I get them like that in the message (no warning or replacement by default empty value)

but fields as [[AB:Service are well working…

So I suppose it is an “encoding character problem”…

Is there a workaround for that?

Thank you for your enquiry.

The SmartFields feature supports the following ASCII characters only:

• unaccented alphanumeric characters;
• _ (underscore);
• – (hyphen);
• : (colon);
• SPACE;
• TAB;
• carriage return;
• linefeed.

I have notified Engineering of this issue. We hope to release an update with support for accented and other characters from the extended set as soon as possible.
