Message Saver Error Message

Hi Guys,

A few machines have started to come up with this error,

A Component of the Formativ Framework for .NET could not be initialized:

Advansys MesageSaver Component for .NET

Please ensure the Microsoft Framework for .NET 1.1 is installed. You many need to reinstall this Product or contact your system Administrator

I have checked that .net is installed and I have uninstalled and reinstalled most version of .net, well up to 3.5.

I am out of ideas can anyone help,

Hi! I also got the same error, tried re-installing both formativ and message saver but still no luck. Can you please advice me on how to solve it? Your help will be much appreciated. Thanks.

Can you confirm that .NET 1.1 is installed, please?

Could you try uninstalling the Formativ Framework for .NET before you reinstall Message Saver?

Thank you for your immediate reply. I appreciate it so much.

The thing is and what I’ve just noticed is that formativ framework .net is missing on the add/remove programs which is a bit odd since by default it should be there, right? I checked the registration utility and I got no problem since both formativ and message saver are registered. Any suggestions?

“Advansys Formativ Framework for .NET” should be present on ARP. We haven’t had any report about this issue. It could be environmental, you may need to restart the machine. Can you reproduce this behaviour on another machine?

I have restarted the PC but still no luck. This is the first time that I have encountered this, I actually searched everywhere for possible solutions but I got nothing. I hope you can help me fix this. Thanks.

Which edition of Windows (XP, Vista) are you using?

Are you using a thin client served by Citrix or Windows Terminal Services?

Please reinstall Message Saver; it should install the Formativ Framework for .NET. After that, please confirm whether the Formativ Framework for .NET was installed.
