Updated
Formativ Admin 1.0. Version updated to 1.0.3.4. Fixed a problem in the
'Disable Library Integrations' dialog where unchecking a Formativ eDirectory
Library would not disable eDirectory applet menu and event integrations when
using Formativ Admin in Formativ Library Administrator mode. Unchecking a
library in the startup dialog now fully disables all applet integrations for
that library for the current Admin session.

1.0.2.3 released.
- This version fixes a problem that could occur while
encoding local applets that were later manually copied to the local applets
directory of Formativ Client users. Under certain circumstances, some applets
could be corrupted during the encoding process, resulting in a 'Invalid Source'
error message being displayed on GroupWise startup. If you encountered this
error, please re-encode your local applets using this version and re-distribute
to your users. This problem did NOT affect applets that were stored
and accessed from eDirectory/NDS libraries.
Formativ Client has not changed and remains at
version 1.0.2.2. |

- Formativ Admin only - FormativCentral now checks
applet source prior to saving for the presence of XML markers ("<![CDATA["
and "]]>") that can cause the save process to fail. If XML markers are
located, the user is given the option of letting Formativ automatically replace
the offending code, or canceling the save process so that the XML markers can
be manually removed from the applet source.
- Information shown in the "About" dialog has been
expanded.

- Formativ now recognizes email messages which enter
your account via the GroupWise Internet Agent (i.e. items which arrive via the
Internet), and allows buttons, menu items and events to be associated with such
items.
- Fixed an access violation which could occur the
first time FormativCentral is displayed.

Formativ Admin
1.0.2 and Formativ Client 1.0.2 released. Terminology change
and software updated for more reliable operation under Windows 95 and
NT4. For full details please read the Formativ readme.txt file. Both products can be
downloaded from the Formativ download page.
- Formativ Admin is the full product which
allows the recording, creation, modification, deletion, encoding and execution
of applets. It is supplied with a wide range of pre-written applet solutions
and also allows the administration of eDirectory/NDS Formativ applet
libraries.
- Formativ Client (runtime) is used when an
organization requires GroupWise users to be able to execute encoded applets but
not create or manage applets. Formativ Client allows only the execution
of encoded applets created by Formativ Admin(see above). Formativ
Client can be managed by eDirectory and can execute shared applets which
are stored in Formativ eDirectory/NDS libraries. Formativ Client DOES
NOT allow the recording, creation, modification, deletion, and encoding of
applets and it DOES NOT allow the administration of eDirectory/NDS Formativ
applet libraries.

installation file update:
- Fixed a bug that caused an index out of bounds
error if a dialog with no controls had its AutoSize property set to TRUE.
- Button 6 on the standard dialog is no longer hidden
if the Wizard Image is turned off.
- Added a new property to the standard dialog -
CancelButton. This property specifies which Formativ dialog button functions as
the Cancel button. The default is Button 2 (Btn2).
- Added a new property to the standard dialog -
DefaultButton. This property specifies which Formativ dialog button functions
as the Default button, which has the initial focus. The default is Button 1
(Btn1). If another button does not have the focus, then the default button
value is returned when the Enter key is pressed.
- StdDlgButtons constants have been updated to
reflect the new internal values used to represent the six standard dialog
buttons. The return values are now sequential from 1 to 6 and directly relate
to the number in the button name. As long as you have not hard coded button
values in your applets, this change will not affect you. If you have hard coded
button values for Buttons 5 and 6, you should replace them with the appropriate
StdDlgButtons constants (i.e. Btn5 and Btn6) to ensure correct behavior.
- Updated some of the shipping applets to take
advantage of the new CancelButton property.
