      Hi There

      I’m trying to deploy formativruntime 2.5 on our aprox.120 clients (Groupwise 2012). Basicly it works fine using the /silent switch. Now I recognised (while testing the deployment), that the applets are not showing and the registration is not done. How can I silently register (deploymenttool ZCM 10), why are the already existing applets (showing on Groupwise 8) not appearing and how can I make them appear? I’m not working in a huge environment but registering 120 clients manualy…? (Windows 7 x64 Clients)

        In the meantime I found the registrationswitch so now I only need the information about how to make the existing applets visible.

          Are these local or eDirectory applets? Most likely solutions are not registered or the license file for the solution pack has not been distributed to the user’s workstation. You can access this via the main GroupWise menus: Help | About Formativ. When the ‘About Box’ appears, select the ‘Configuration’ tab. Press the ‘copy to clipboard’ button, then save the contents of the clipboard to a file and attach to your reply.

            Formativ is registrated. The problem only apears on new installed Clients. Updated clients, from Groupwise 8, do not have the problem. My Workaround for new clients at the moment is, install Groupwise 8 then update to Groupwise 2012.

              Unfortunately we are not sure why this is happening and appears likely that it may be a Registry related issue.

              We are working on releasing Formativ 2.6 this week, which provides improved GroupWise 2012 compatibility. However, from the symptoms you describe, it is unlikely that the changes in 2.6 will rectify the problem you are a seeing. This is a heads-up just in case you can avoid rolling out Formativ twice in short succession.

              On the new machines, does it help if the first time you run the GroupWise 2012 client, you run it as administrator, then close and restart the GroupWise client?

                No this is not the solution. I installed now a Groupwise Client Version 8 with Formativ 2.5 and… no applets… it seems as it is not the combination of GW2012 and Formative… Confused

                  Please let us know steps you install the Formativ and solutions (i.e. ZENworks, manual install, etc).
