created a set of CDs for a mailbox, when I try to view the mailbox, I get “Confirm, Please insert media-01” The first CD is in the CD-ROM. This happens with all of the other CDs, “Please insert media-02”.
What is causing the error?
Thanks

Thanks for reporting this problem.
Which version of Archive To Go Viewer is on the CD-ROM archive? You can see the version by going to the main menu and choosing Help | About.
If you use Windows File Explorer to view the contents of the first CD, what folders are listed? The top-level folder should be “media-01”, and it should contain these folders:
_metadata
_viewer
dataYou may need to compare the folders and files on the CD with those in the original location.
I look forward to your reply.

Advansys SupportFebruary 23, 2009 at 3:05 am #9607hi i have checked the requested folders are all there and are all ok, also the archive 2 go viewer is version 1.0 build 1.0.0.6. hope this will be some help for you so you can assist me.

mattFebruary 23, 2009 at 7:04 pm #9613Thanks for the clarification.
Have you or anyone else ever been able to view the contents of this CD-ROM based archive?
I suggest that you try the following:
- Download the latest version of Archive To Go.
- If you already have Archive To Go installed, you will need to uninstall it before running this installer (go to Add or Remove Programs in the Windows Control Panel).
- Use Windows File Explorer to navigate to the Archive To Go installation folder (usually C:Program FilesAdvansysArchive To Go).
- From the list of files, find a2goview.exe and run it. You will be prompted to select an archive: choose a volume from your CD-ROM archive.
- In this version, if the Viewer is unable to find a particular file it will display a message that includes the full path to the missing item. Please check (using File Explorer) whether the item exists.
I look forward to seeing your findings.

Advansys SupportMarch 30, 2009 at 1:29 am #9609hi there i have tried to download this but i dont have rights to access it. I have contacted our software team and our media is missing? is there alternative way i can download this as it is really urgent i view the files? it has worked previously but this message has recently started to appear.
March 30, 2009 at 2:15 am #9606I suggest you download the Trial version of Archive To Go, which does not require special rights. Both Trial and Full versions include the same version of the Viewer.
I hope this helps.

May 28, 2009 at 7:48 pm #9612Thanks for reporting your latest finding.
Please send the contents of the _metadata folder (zipped) to support@advansyscorp.com for our engineers to analyze. The exported metadata contains only Sender, Recipients, Subject and Date for each message; it contains only Display Name and Email Address for each contact.
What is the size of the file as displayed in File Explorer?
What is the total number of files in this folder, ie:
C:Documents and SettingslpollardDesktopLPollard Archivemedia-01data 0000037
I look forward to your reply.

June 2, 2009 at 6:57 am #9615We have received your email, thank you.
Unfortunately the metadata you sent does not reveal an obvious explanation for the Viewer failing to find the file.
It’s possible that sometimes an application cannot find files that are on the Windows Desktop (or a sub-folder of it). Could you move/copy the archive, please, to a folder like “C:Archives” and try again?
I look forward to your reply.

Advansys SupportJune 3, 2009 at 12:49 am #9608In addition to the above suggestions, could you please also try the followings:
– Can you open the file below in Message Viewer?
“C:Documents and SettingslpollardDesktopLPollard Archivemedia-01data 0000037429F1666.Mouchel1.Appserv1.100.164726C.1.17A.1.fml”– Can you view other messages from the folder below using Archive To Go Viewer?
“C:Documents and SettingslpollardDesktopLPollard Archivemedia-01data 0000037”Regards,
