      Hi,

I have read the numerous posts about the finder not working when viewing an archive from a network sahre. I have followed the advice given about setting the ‘a2gofinder.exe’ as a trusted assambly and also adding the server path to the Intranet Zone in IE7. We still get exception messages when opening the finder.

Running the application locally works, but we really need a fix as we have approx 200 archives between 5GB – 20GB in size, so would tak e ages to copy down the files!

      First error message:

Application popup: a2gofinder.exe – Common Language Runtime Debugging Services : Application has generated an exception that could not be handled.

      Process id=0x19884 (104580), Thread id=0x19988 (104840).

Click OK to terminate the application.
Click CANCEL to debug the application.

      After Click OK:

There are some problems while trying to use the finder, please check the following messages:
Request for the permission type System.Security.Permission, mscorlib, Version=1.0.5000.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5561934e08 failed.

      Abort/Rety/Ignore

      Thanks!

        Thanks for your post.

Which versions of the .NET Framework, if any, are installed in addition to version 1.1?

A third option to try (in addition to the two you mention) is to increase your machine’s trust level for the Intranet zone. This is done as follows:

        • Open Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Wizards.
        • On the page What Would You Like to Modify? choose Make changes to this computer. Click Next.
        • On the page Adjust the Security Level for Each Zone choose Local Intranet, then move the slider up to Full Trust. Click Next.
        • Click Finish.

        I hope this helps.

        Regards,

          Hi,

Also running .net 2, but this third option has fixed the problem.

          Thankyou!
