I am running the ‘save message and attachments’ applet version 1.01 which works well but is a little slow when you have a lot of emails to save. Is there an updated version or are we able to have changes made to:

      – display the full path of the folder (at the moment there is not enough room to show the path we use and we can not expand the window, alternatively the path could simply wrap to another line)
      – when we pick the folder button we have to start browsing from ‘My Documents’, it would be much quicker if it would default to the last folder used

      I am using Runtime 1.6.

      Thanks,

Thank you for you enquiry. At present there is no updated version of Save Message and Attachments.

However you may wish to look at the Advansys Message Saver Pack 1.2, which offers a range of features, including those you have listed. The Pack includes the Message Saver solution which has several configurable settings (including the default disk folder), and provides unattended saving of multiple messages. It also includes a free viewer application which does not require GroupWise to be installed. You can download the Pack for evaluation; more information is available from here.

        I hope this helps you.

Messsage Saver solution works great however I am trialling it on a couple of users and one of them has the error ‘Object doesn’t support this property or method’ when I try to save a message. Any ideas?

Are you running the latest update of the Message Saver Pack? You should find in the README.TXT the most recent entry is 16 September 2004.

Which version of GroupWise is running where the error appears? Does the error appear for all kinds of message (Mail, Appointment, Task, Note, Phone Message) or only one?

It may help us resolve this error if you send the Formativ configuration for the user in question to support@advansyscorp.com . You can obtain the configuration by selecting Help | About Formativ… from the GroupWise main menu. When the About Formativ dialog appears, go to the Configuration tab and click the button Copy to clipboard. Then paste the text into your email.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.
