GroupWise vs system date format – Advansys

On some of our installs we have the date format of the computer set to UK format, but the date format of GroupWise set to US format (because GW insists on using US format …).

I do not want to force set the date/time pref, I just want to detect if there is a difference between the GW and system formats and warn the user of this possible problem (startup event).

Is there any way to detect this inconsistency?

I am not aware of any GroupWise API that reports the active date/time format. Unfortunately, it seems the only available option is the token:
```
  GroupWise.PrefDateTimeFormat()
```
You can use this token to force the formats (presumably using the notation in the Customize Regional Options dialog in Windows). More useful though would be a way to make GroupWise use the System formats by default. Unfortunately, I do not know of a way to do this by way of a scripted solution.
