I’m looking for any suggestion about implementing in GroupWise classic return receipt as common e-mail client allow (outlook express, netscape etc).

When sending mail from GW, usually it’s possible to request a notification on receipt (by mail or notify) but when the destination is outside GWsystem there’s no way to obtain same result; how can i manipulate gw messages and insert a special tag to be trapped for a further elaboration of the return receipt ?

Generally a RR request add a similar tag <disposition-notification-to> in the header of the message, and if the receivng client is outlook or other similar, it shows a pop-up windows requesting an acknoledgement from the remote user.

      Any suggestion is appreciated !

      Regards,

As far as I am aware, no GroupWise client API’s allow the message header to be modified. As Formativ works almost exclusively with client APIs, I don’t believe Formativ is going to help in this regard.

It might be possible, but I suspect this would have to happen at the GWIA(?). You may be better off directing this question directly to Novell.
