What is an ADO connection string?

An ADO connection string defines how ADO knows how to find your database. The string syntax will vary based on the provider you want to use. A standard connection string contains a number of arguments separated by semicolons, each argument set equal to its associated value. Its basic form is:

argument1=value1; argument2=value2; argument3=value3;

See the Microsoft ADO documentation, and your database provider documentation for details.
