LinkWise R380 - ACT! Edition is only one of the essential components in the integrated synchronization solution. As a result, one of the most important steps in the troubleshooting process is to attempt to isolate the source of a problem. The earlier this determination is made, the faster you are likely to find the cause of the problem.
Some elementary steps to check:
Can you make a reliable connection between your PC and smartphone? See your Ericsson documentation.
Are you familiar with the telephone formatting requirements imposed by ACT! and the Ericsson synchronization engine? See the LinkWise R380 help file for details.
Have you tried using the synchronizer's Wizard to create a new set of synchronization task settings? Using the Wizard deletes any existing synchronization settings and allows you to start again from scratch (as if you were doing a first time synchronization).
Are you using the most recent versions of LinkWise R380 and the Ericsson Communications Suite software? Check www.ericsson.com for updates.
Are you working with the same ACT! database specified in the ACT! Database settings dialog?

Is your ACT! database free of corruption? Synchronization problems can occur if LinkWise R380 has trouble reading information from your database. You should run a maintenance/reindex process on your ACT! database - see your ACT! documentation.
Have you read the 'LinkWise R380 - ACT! Edition Readme.txt' file, which is located in your Ericsson Communications Suite folder? (Normally C:\Program Files\Ericsson\R380).
