LinkWise R380 - Novell GroupWise Edition is only one of the essential components in the integrated synchronization solution. As a result, one of the most important steps in the troubleshooting process is to attempt to isolate the source of a problem. The earlier this determination is made, the faster you are likely to find the cause of the problem.
Can you make a reliable connection between your PC and smartphone? See your Ericsson documentation.
Has your 30 day trialware period expired? Review the synchronization log details to see how many days you have remaining to use the software. Press the View Details button on the Synchronization Results dialog to view the log.
Have you tried using the synchronizer's Wizard to create a new set of synchronization task settings? Using the Wizard deletes any existing synchronization settings and allows you to start again from scratch (as if you were doing a first time synchronization).
Some user-defined GroupWise rules can cause the synchronization process to fail. Try disabling your rules (Tools|Rules) then synchronizing.
Do you have GroupWise selected as the default email application in Windows?
Are you using the most recent versions of LinkWise R380 and the Ericsson Communications Suite software?
Are you working with the same personal address book specified in the address book settings dialog? You may have to manually open the address book to see it.
Are you familiar with the approach to email synchronization provided by the Ericsson Communications Suite? See your Ericsson documentation.
Do you understand how LinkWise R380 'maps' the folders between the R380 email application and GroupWise?
Do you understand how LinkWise R380 handles deletions of GroupWise email messages?
Is your GroupWise account free of corruption? Synchronization problems can occur if LinkWise R380 has trouble reading information from your mailbox. Ask your system administrator to run an integrity check on your mailbox.
Have you read the 'LinkWise R380 - Novell GroupWise Edition Readme.txt' file, which is located in your Ericsson Communications Suite folder? (Normally C:\Program Files\Ericsson\R380).
